Kidz talk
A picture discussion on a picture depicting a zoo.
siobhan: There are some monkeys in the zoo. A girl is feeding the monkeys a banana. It is wrong of her to do that.
me: Why?
siobhan: There is a sign on the wall that says, "Do not feed the monkeys". She should not do it.
me: Good. Why do you think the sign says that?
siobhan: Because the zookeeper has already fed the monkeys. The monkeys have eaten.
me: Right... So, what do you think will happen if the girl continues to do that?
siobhan: The monkeys will all vomit.
me: (amused) Okay...
siobhan: They are too full.
me: So, that's why they will vomit?
siobhan: Ya.
me: Ok, good! How about the girl? What do you think will happen to the girl?
siobhan: She will be scratched by the monkeys. Because all the monkeys see her feeding this one, they will all come and get bananas from her. They will scratch her.
me: Right! So, she might get hurt. Right?
siobhan: (smiles) Ya.
